The Alan Turing Institute
Wayfinding & Signage
Connect people to where they need to go
As part of the rebrand for The Alan Turing Institute, we were asked to improve the Institute’s wayfinding and signage to make navigation easier for employees, external visitors and researchers.
Extend the existing brand
The new system has been designed to be as simple and minimal as possible to ensure clarity and legibility. It mimics the ‘two-layer’ concept of the brand identity, where a black and white layer of pure information and data is juxtaposed to a colourful one representing new discoveries. In the same way, the black and white signs have a very functional purpose, whilst the colourful panels pay tribute to the visionary work associated with the Institute.
