We were delighted to receive the Design Business Association Silver Award for Design Effectiveness last night, received for the work we produced in collaboration with our friends at Sadler’s Wells over the last 4 years. The award recognises projects that demonstrate how design has a tangible effect on a business’s strategy and value, a directive that is always uppermost in our minds here at Red&White on every project we work on.

Our initial work on the rebrand helped to communicate more effectively the theatre’s brand mission, and define their place within a crowded market. Since then, we’ve worked together with the team at Sadler’s Wells to keep this evocative and dynamic identity relevant to their audiences; such as creating a new streamlined membership scheme, designing an identity that celebrates their 20 year anniversary at their current home, and generally developing their communication language through key applications.

Because of this collaborative work, ticket sales have jumped from -2.9% to a 138.6% increase since 2014, and membership has increased by 28% since the turn of this year. We’re very proud to be part of this story and look forward to many more years working with such a brave and challenging client.
